Termination of Garuda Indonesia Contract with 700 Employees

Termination of Garuda Indonesia Contract with 700 Employees – Maybe you have read a similar or similar article, but this article is different because we have taken it from a reliable source, following the termination of contact between Garuda Indonesia and 700 employees.

Garuda Indonesia officially ended its contract employees with 700 company employees early.

The policy took effect from November 1, 2020. Since May 2020, 700 of these contract workers have undergone an unpaid leave policy due to the decline in demand for flight services during the pandemic.

“By completing the contract earlier, Garuda Indonesia ensures that it will fulfill all the rights of affected employees in accordance with applicable regulations, including prepayment of the company’s obligations for the remaining employee contract period,” said Garuda Indonesia President Director Irfaniaputra in a statement received by Liputan6. .com, Tuesday (27/10/2020).

Irfan said that this policy was a difficult decision that the company had to make after making various rescue efforts to ensure the sustainability of the company amid the challenges of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

He continued, since the beginning, the interests of employees have always been the top priority that the company has always put forward. When other airlines began implementing employee reduction policies, Garuda Indonesia continued to strive to optimize strategic steps to ensure improved company performance for the benefit of employees and the company’s future business.

“However, at this point, we have to make tough decisions in the midst of this situation which is still full of uncertainty,” said Irfan.

He also expressed his gratitude to employees affected by this policy for their dedication and contribution to the company to date.

Irfan admitted, this pandemic condition had a long-term impact on the company’s performance, where the company’s condition so far has not shown significant improvement.

“However, we believe that all the steps and improvement efforts that we will continue to do in the future, can support Garuda Indonesia’s performance recovery efforts so that it can survive the crisis during the pandemic and also strengthen the foundation for the company’s sustainability in the future,” he concluded.

Garuda Indonesia Ready to Apply Airport Tax Fee Elimination Policy

The national airline Garuda Indonesia welcomes the stimulus policy of airline subsidies for Aircraft Passenger Services (PJP2U) and is ready to implement the elimination of Passenger Service Charge (PSC) rates or commonly referred to as airport tax on the component of airplane ticket fares.

This policy was released by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Transportation from 23 October 2020 to 31 December 2020. Garuda will implement this policy at 10 airports served by airlines.

“The presence of the PJP2U stimulus is certainly a significant step that we hope will support efforts to restore airline performance, especially in order to increase public interest in using air transportation services again,” said the President Director of Garuda Indonesia Irfan Everyutra in a written statement, Thursday (22/10/2020 ).

Irfan hopes that this stimulus policy can have a positive impact on increasing the trend of passenger movement on domestic flights.

The synergy of a solid aviation industry ecosystem together with regulators and other aviation stakeholders is considered to be fundamental in supporting a more optimal business continuity for the national aviation industry amid the pandemic.
